Piotr Kowalski (3 Dan)
Date of birth: 1967 r.
Place of living: Poznań, Polska

1982             He started his karate trainings in Poznań under instructors from Poznań Karate Club (few of them used to be Polish Karate National Team couches) For many years he was PKC competitor taking part in tournaments organized by Polish Karate Association in individual and team kata and kumite competitions.
 
1990           His first meeting with Sensei Kase Taiji. Since that meeting his fascination of Shotokan karate has started - as a completely different style from sport karate
 
1991           He participates in trainings led by K. Enoeda, where he passes SHODAN exam
 
1991 - 1999           He takes part in numerous seminars in Poland and abroad led by Japanese masters (T. Kase, H. Kanazawa, K. Enoeda, H. Shirai, M. Yahara, K. Abe, N. Kawasoe, T. Naito, M. Kawasoe, A. Isaka, E. Maeda)
He passes NIDAN and SANDAN examinations honored by sensei T.Kase.

He participates in many international competitions:

    * 1993 WKSA European Championships - patronage - T. Kase, H. Shirai
    * 1994 Sasari Cup - patronage - T. Kase, H. Shirai
    * 1997 European Championships in Rosendale
    * 1997 SKI World Championships in Milan
    * 1998 JKA World Championships in Bern


and in Poland:

    * 1991 second place in Polish Cup in kumite team
    * 1993 i 1994 first place in Polish Championships in fukugo
    * 1999 JKA European Championships second place in team kata
    * 1999 In 1999 he engages in Poznań Karate Shotokan Association (PKSA)

 
2003           With a group of members of Poznań Karate Shotokan Association he participates in seminar led by the SKI top instructors Kawasoe and Tanaka

2003           Seminar in Austria led by Koga and Kawasoe Few members of PKSA led by Piotr Kowalski pass their SHODAN exam

2003           As a PKSA representative he becomes WOZK co-founder (Regional Karate Association). PKSA becomes one of the WOZK members.
 
2004 - 2005           He leads regular trainings for instructors, where he is implementing requirements of SKI training programme.


2005           Seminar in Brussels with Shihan R.Koga and sensei S.Tanaka

2006           Participare in IX SKIF World Championships in Tokyo with his group of 13 students;
                  he gets to the final and reaches a good 7th place in Team Kata

                  He takes part in ceremony celebrating 50 years of Kancho H. Kanazawa’s karate history

2007-2009   trips to Düsseldorf for conferences of SKIF Europe, which were led by Shihan R. Koga; the conference was also attended by Shihan S. Asano, Shihan N. Kawazoe, A. Nagai Shihan, Shihan M. Miura.

2007           participate in XI SKIF European Championshops in Italy; he gets to a final and take 4th place in Team Kata

2009           as polish team chief instructor with a group of 13 team members he leaves for Athens on X SFKIF World Championships; one of his students – Ewa Szewczyk, wins a 2nd place in her category
