Poznan Shotokan Karate Association 10th anniversary
In first months of 2010 Poznan Shotokan karate Association will treat 10th anniversary  of its existence. The beginning of this association was very difficult. In Poznan and also on terrain of Poland existed many Karate Schools and Unions acted due the propagation of karate. Not many at that time belived that only a few people attempting trainings at the one of elementary schools will become an Association cooperating with SKIF (Shotokan Karate International Federation) with the legend of Shotokan as its chief Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa.

Ten years seem to be a moment in ones opinion, to others it’s a half of their lifes.
Only obstinacy and enthusiasm, determination and great desire to be a part of something that wasn’t in Poland never before.
All that with the youth of most of students could give a lot of splendid effects.
Through these ten years we could see  how a group of children became into karate team, how youth grew up and gained black belts in front of Japanese Masters, those, most experienced became instructors. During that time competitors struggled for medals, others attempted to international meetings, worlds and European getherings of SKIF to learn from the best, and then to hard work at their own trainings.

Among these years, there was a time of victory and time of loss, a time of great adventure and wonderful moments on annual karate camps, a time to make friends, a time for sorrow and gaining humble when sometimes it was very hard to achieve something or struggle with injuries. Right beside many hours spent on dojo there was a time to learn how to live, a time to cooperate with people and institutions kind to our undertaking that could help us and could have a contribution to make our projects real. It also was a very hard time for families of our adepts, competitors and those who took a part of many international meetings. They were not only patient about all the preparations to tournaments and other undertakes but they were always ready to give a hand in everything due to development of Poznan Shotokan Karate Association by dedicating a lots of their time.

To all karateka, young and older attempting trainings, to their parents, to head masters of schools in which we train, to every sinlge person and institution kind to our association, to our families we wish to say thank you for your support among these ten years of hard work. We deeply believe that our cooperation will give many reasons to satisfaction in a future.
